Chris got her first Bernese Puppy over 20
years ago and was hooked for life. In a cool
twist of fate, Herb bought his first Berner pup
from Chris and unbeknown to us, began our
family!
Since the beginning, our focus has been to our
Berners, while maintaining their sweet, soft
personalities and unique good looks.
We do not feel that this breed has had,
nationally, a satisfactory life-expectancy.
So, we have worked to improve the longevity
of our line of Bernese--- with good results.
We take every opportunity to weed out lines of
dogs who suffer from life-shortening diseases,
while adding & keeping dogs from long-lived
ancestries in our line. Our breeding dogs must
pass hip x-rays and a variety of other health &
genetic screenings.
Equally important, we strive to maintain & even
improve the great personalities that all
Berners should have. Bernese Mountain
Dogs should be sweet, soft dispositioned
dogs, easy to train and live with. Our Berners
are bred to be tolerant, to adore children and
to be adaptable to many life-styles.
